Highlands Micro School is a progressive, non-religious, independent elementary school in Northwest Denver.
MISSION
Our mission at Juniper Micro School is to create a collaborative community that cherishes curiosity, nurtures each child’s unique strengths and helps children develop the skills and mindsets to boldly follow their passions to become tomorrow’s change agents.
VALUES
We don’t wait for change - we are the changemakers. At Juniper we value innovation and research. We follow a progressive philosophy based on current, high-quality research on brain and child development.
We dare kids to be bold. In a rapidly changing and complex world, we emphasize resilience, critical thinking, risk-taking, intrinsic motivation and creative problem solving over rote memorization.
An education as unique as your child. Juniper’s intimate community allows us to provide an extremely personalized learning environment for students where individual strengths are valued and nurtured.
The power of the micro school. The micro school model is lean, agile and efficient. It allows us to serve as a truly innovative grassroots leader in reimagining education.
Masterpiece Academy honors students for who they are as individuals and who they are in Christ. We serve and empower students through Biblical truth, individualized core instruction, project-based learning and character development. Our goal is to strengthen students in Christ while equipping them with 21st century skills needed for their future careers.
We function based on five pillars: individualization, relevance, immersive, technology, and faith-based.
At Prairie Song Academy we guide K-12 students’ academic and socio-emotional growth as they become confident, compassionate, creative thinkers. Our nurturing environment gives them space to explore their interests, unleash their creativity, and broaden their worldviews. We teach them to seek out the stories that are not always told, and to center those who have been marginalized. When students leave us, they will know they are deeply loved, have a sense of their place in this world, and do their part in creating a more just and inclusive society .
Chesterfield Community Preschool will begin its inaugural school year on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. We are a dedicated, grassroots, Montessori, micro-school committed to guiding children in an authentic community atmosphere. We believe in an affordable, inclusive, respectful, child-focused education system and aim to provide an environment that meets the needs of the families we serve.
Our year-round, half-day preschool program is designed for children ages three to six years old. Our school days are Monday through Friday, 8am-12pm with a break each quarter. Class size is limited to twelve students and three faculty, providing a sense of community, partnership and individualization.
Our school is located within a Christian church and we are proud to share our faith with the children in our classroom, however, part of building an authentic and diverse community means also celebrating the different cultures, customs and religions of the families enrolled.
Our goal is to maintain affordable tuition in an effort to preserve the spirit of Montessori education. Tuition is only $500/month per child and requires an annual commitment. We operate with rolling admissions and will accept applications year-round, adding to our wait-list as needed. Please contact us for application information.
Natural Connections Academy is a K-12 private micro-school. We are agriculture rich in our learning enviornment while integrating technology and all core subject areas.
Our Farmstead Academy setting includes animals of all shapes and sizes with an emphasis on our Equestrian Team. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
We are fairly new multiage age learning center that focuses on nurturing each child’s gifts and passions to free them to the world. We use project base learning, experiences, and talking to others and online resources to learn all that we can!
Rooted in current educational research and brain science, we're designing a learning environment that is flexible and designed to meet the needs of all learners. This begins with investigating how each child learns best and continues through a learner-centered approach.
Our tiny community is blooming with kids and we are looking to bring back a local tradition of local education in a one-room schoolhouse setting, with an education program focused on teaching the kids to learn, think and grow instead of memorize and prep for tests. One-room schoolhouses have a long history in this area, with the last one closing just 10 years ago. The families of a small and remote community of Martinsdale Montana want a childhood experiences that does not include a twice a day, one hour or more, bus ride to the nearest school.
We have a kindergarten class of 6 for fall 2018, and enroll will grow to at least 12 within the first 5 years. Unlike many rural and isolated areas, we are growing with families due to ranching and industry.
Due to our remote location, we qualify for public school funding but we have struggled to get our school districts Board of Trustees to listen and learn the facts. As we persevere and work to gain their support, we are looking in to any and all options, Public, Private, Charter, etc. We are also very open to new, old and unique teaching and learning models.
We have very motivated families and a new schoolhouse but we are looking for teacher(s) and/or educational innovators that are interested in taking on this incredible opportunity for themselves and the kids.
We would be more open to non-public if we could find the right person(s) to oversee the school as we feel this is one area, that is not best suited for this group of parents and we haven't been able to find anyone else local with the skills or qualifications to take on such an important role.
There is a good chance that we cannot pull all of this together by fall 2018 and that is ok. It is most important to find the right path and educating partners and that takes time. If we build it, they will come.
If you are interested in more information, or have helpful resources, please contact me. Thank you!

We are a small, independent school that attracts students in Kindergarten through 8th grade from across Indianapolis and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to discover, recognize and nurture the talents and gifts of each child, graduating students with the capacity, knowledge and social awareness to be actively engaged in their communities.
When children come to our school, they have the opportunity to move, experience, create and build. Our progressive model engages students in hands-on projects and service learning experiences. Our small class sizes and flexible curriculum help students feel valued and create classroom environments where their talents and interests are accepted and cultivated.
Our teachers are trained in sound educational practices, and they create a quality experience that is measured by academic, emotional and social growth. We value the contributions that our families make to our school, and honor the diverse experiences and histories of our students and their families.
Boone Prairie offers a classical foundation, delivering the education in an engaging way. Our model is different from typical schools hybrids in that we place students on ability for math, writing/reading. All new students 3rd-8th test into math and provide a writing sample. For example we have had 1st graders test at level 3 math and 6th graders test at Algebra level as well as level 3. The primary goal is to have all students ready for Algebra 1 by 9th grade, while students who are high ability or start the program at a younger age will often be finished with 2 HS credits by the start of 9th grade. Students without a classical background start in Latin A regardless of grade level. Classes are outdoors as much as possible through the fall and spring. Science and History are offered on a 4 year rotation. This allows families to learn together across grades for History/Geography/Art/Music, yet at the students appropriate grade level. Leadership, entrepreneurial skills, integrity/character are foundational as well.
With Beyond Education Inc Academy, our goal is to achieve a holistic educational experience that fosters both academic excellence and spiritual growth. We aim to provide students with a cutting-edge education tailored to their individual needs, encompassing core subjects, Agricultural Sciences, and Bible classes. Our focus is on creating a learning environment that nurtures the heart alongside the mind. By integrating the Bible into every aspect of education, we aim to point children to Jesus and instill the joy of service. Our commitment to community service further reinforces our students' connection to their community and neighbors. We offer student boarding and day student options to ensure a safe, predictable, and Christ-filled environment. Ultimately, our aspiration is to inspire students to embrace Christian living and to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.
I am an experienced educator who is seeking to form a small group learning pod for the 2021/2022 school year.
This past year I ran a successful pod with PreK students (3-5 year-olds) but I am willing to work with students ages 3 years-old through 8 years-old. I have previously worked as an elementary school teacher (Kindergarten/1st grade) and I also have experience as a private tutor, a nanny and in daycare settings. work as a private teacher for a single family for the 2021/2022 school year.
I would provide lessons that include Literacy (Reading/Writing), Math, Science, Social Science, Art, PE and Music concepts. I also plan to incorporate additional creative activities into the lessons based off of the students’ interests. I am comfortable with developing my own standards-based lessons or alternatively I can follow a curriculum provided by parents.
