Where are you located?
Meridian Montessori is located in the historic Mount Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
What are your age requirements?
We accept children age 2.5 to 4 for our preschool prep program. Children must be actively engaged in toilet learning.
Is it necessary for my child to attend a preschool prep program?
Preschool prep is mindfully designed to help ease the transition from home to school or toddler classroom to primary classroom. It serves as an orientation period where we introduce the primary classroom and get acclimated before our returning students join in September. It is highly recommended that all new primary classroom students participate in preschool prep.
What kind of parent participation do you expect?
We view your child’s education as a collaborative effort; thus, parent participation is encouraged and expected. We welcome parents in the learning environment on a more flexible basis during the preschool prep program as guides become part of your child’s trusted circle. When group snack is planned, we require families to bring snack on a rotating basis. We encourage you to help create continuity in your child’s development and to maximize your child’s learning experience by incorporating Montessori principles at home. To this end, we invite parents or caregivers to attend at least one parent education event per semester.
Can you help me set up a Montessori nursery, toddler or preschool room for my child at home?
We welcome the opportunity to connect you with our design collaborators who will help you incorporate Montessori into your home or life as a whole.
How much is tuition?
Tuition for the four-week preschool prep program is $200.
How do I know if Montessori is right for my child?
The preschool prep program is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Montessori philosophy and our integrative approach. As a community of Montessorians, we welcome the opportunity to connect you with other families who have experienced the Montessori difference.
Do you offer a summer program?
Beginning Summer 2020, we will offer our preschool prep program during the summer only. Please contact us for summer dates.
