Meridian Learning has openings for part-time interns for the Fall 2025 semester.
Essential Functions
- Prepare the classroom environment
- Manage the “flow” of the classroom
- Support children in their own resolution of conflicts and concerns
- Be a role model for children in speech, tone, demeanor, and actions
- Serve as a record keeper of the work children are engaged in and children’s social interactions
- Help support classroom activity
- Go outdoors daily in all seasons, including during winter months
Competencies
- Have an understanding of (or interest in learning about) Montessori philosophy and the microschool model that Meridian helped pioneer
- Be comfortable in nature and exploring our community campus
- Enjoy working with preschool children (age 18 months-6 years) or elementary age children (grades K-6)
- Have a strong work ethic
- Actively seek professional growth and development
- Solution-oriented and willing to meet families where they are
Internship Requirements
A background check is required. Candidates should be pursuing an education or other relevant degree, have previous experience with children and authorization to work in the United States.
Position Details
The hours are M/W or T/Th 8:45 am to 12 pm or 8:45 am to 12:45 pm. This is a part-time internship during the academic year. Summer opportunities may be available.
