A different kind of summer, designed specifically for adolescents.
Our Summer Stewardship Session is a two-day-per-week experience grounded in land-based work, shared responsibility, and the rhythms of the season. Students return each week to ongoing work at the micro farm, contributing to projects that evolve over time.
What students do
- Maintain and care for garden spaces through watering, weeding, harvesting, and seasonal upkeep
- Take part in ongoing outdoor projects connected to the microfarm and local environment
- Assist with aspects of Meridian’s summer programs, including occasional support with gardening and cooking camps
- Prepare simple shared snacks or meals as part of the day
- Work alongside the same small group over the course of the season
Adolescence is a time for shared responsibility and growing independence. We design summer as a place where students practice both through steady work, contribution, and community.
