Meridian Learning offers the first grassroots microschool mentorship — built on relationship, not replication. Designed for founders who want to grow with integrity, this program focuses on authentic support rather than acceleration, incubation, or franchising.
Over a six- to nine-month journey, this mentorship provides steady, personalized support as you plan, launch, or strengthen your microschool. Rooted in relationship, reflection, and responsiveness, the experience is designed to meet you where you are — and walk with you as you grow. Priority consideration is given to new and aspiring founders who seek to serve underserved or rural communities — especially those located in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
The investment for participation is $1,500 for six months or $2,000 for nine months. Flexible payment plans and limited scholarships are available to help ensure access.
Each mentorship includes:
🌿 Meridian Learning community membership — Ongoing access to a network of grassroots microschool leaders.
🏫 Optional internship — Experience daily operations through a placement at one of Meridian’s lab school programs.
💻 Online community access — Connect with mentors and peers between sessions.
🗓️ Monthly one-on-one mentoring — Dive into practical topics such as budgeting, business planning, family policies, and mission development.
✉️ Personalized email support — Guidance and feedback between meetings.
📘 Professional learning courses — Enrollment in Teacherpreneurship 101 and How to Start a Microschool.
🗂️ Digital resource library — Templates, tools, and examples to help you build confidently.
How We’re Exceptional
Our commitment to advancing the grassroots microschool movement led us to create a meaningful mentorship opportunity for grassroots microschool leaders — especially those with a goal to serve underserved communities.
As the first resource and advocacy organization for grassroots microschools in the country, and the first to launch a grassroots microschool network, our experience is both deep and unmatched. Through our work with dozens of aspiring, new, and veteran microschool leaders — and by starting and sustaining our own grassroots micro lab schools for more than 15 years — we’ve learned what it takes to build a microschool rooted in meaningful learning and built to stand the test of time.
We look forward to guiding you on your grassroots microschool journey.
