About the Microschool Directory
Meridian launched the first microschool directory in 2016 to support visibility and connection across the global grassroots microschool ecosystem. The directory includes schools representing a wide range of educational philosophies and models. Some schools are featured or display Meridian accreditation based on participation within the Meridian community. Listings are maintained by schools themselves.

Back to Earth School is a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based microschool in Oklahoma City serving children through experiential, relationship-centered education. Rooted in reverence for childhood and connection to the natural world, we nurture the whole child-head, heart, and hands-through storytelling, artistic work, movement, meaningful academics, and outdoor exploration. Our approach emphasizes strong community, developmental alignment, creativity, and joyful learning while cultivating curiosity, resilience, compassion, and a lifelong love of learning.
