Where are you located?
Our fall homeschool pop-up will take place at Cincinnati Parent Child Center in the historic Mount Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
What are your age requirements?
We currently accept children age 6 to 9 years.
What kind of homeschooling curriculum do you use?
We utilize a modified version of our elementary curriculum focusing on math and language. In classes with children new to Montessori philosophy, we may also integrate practical life.
What kind of parent participation do you expect?
Homeschooling parents are invited to join children for learning experiences if arranged in advance and adequate space is available. Some of our classes are designated for families new to homeschooling, and parent attendance is expected. Additionally, we invite homeschooling parents to join us for one parent education event per semester.
Can you help me set up a Montessori homeschool room?
We welcome the opportunity to help you incorporate Montessori into your home or life as a whole.
Do you provide support and/or training for homeschooling families who do not wish to participate in the homeschool program?
Yes. We offer in-home and on-line consultations for families who would like to set up a multi-sensory learning space and/or begin Montessori homeschooling, but do not wish to or cannot attend the homeschool program. We can also arrange one-on-one supplementary sessions and parent training at our learning studio. In addition, we offer group workshops through our professional development program; these are beneficial to both homeschooling and non-homeschooling families.
How much is tuition?
Tuition for the homeschool program is $250/8 week session or $450/15 week session. Please contact us for information regarding multi-sibling discount and financial aid.
How do I know if Montessori homeschooling is right for my child?
Parents are encouraged to arrange a visit to learn more about the Montessori philosophy and our integrative approach, as we have assisted many homeschooling families seeking to combine Montessori principles with non-Montessori curriculum. We welcome the opportunity to connect you with other families who have experienced the Montessori difference.
Does the homeschool program follow the public school schedule?
We begin our regular school year shortly after Labor Day and end classes just before Memorial Day. Typically, all public school holidays are observed. Our homeschool program is offered in half or full sessions during the regular school year.
Do you offer a summer program?
We offer a summer homeschool program by request.
