microschool
We are fairly new multiage age learning center that focuses on nurturing each child’s gifts and passions to free them to the world. We use project base learning, experiences, and talking to others and online resources to learn all that we can!
Our South Florida K-12 microschool features personalized learning, one-to-one teaching, multicultural studies, enrichment programs, social-emotional learning, and college preparation. We provide an encouraging, bully-free environment where students can thrive.
Our diverse curriculum is tailored to the needs and abilities of each student. With frequent assessments, we ensure that students are learning at their true grade level for each subject. Students build strong core competencies in reading, writing, and math with one-to-one teaching, small group lessons, and 24/7 access to online tutors. In-person, virtual, or hybrid options are available. Our curriculum is personalized for each student with Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students with disabilities to advanced placement options for academically gifted students.
Students graduate with a Florida high school diploma from an accredited private school. Our experienced school counselor assists with college applications in addition to NCAA and Bright Future Scholarship course selection and review. Dual enrollment is available.
At the Permission to Succeed Education Center, no student falls behind or is held back from their full potential.
At Prairie Song Academy we guide K-12 students’ academic and socio-emotional growth as they become confident, compassionate, creative thinkers. Our nurturing environment gives them space to explore their interests, unleash their creativity, and broaden their worldviews. We teach them to seek out the stories that are not always told, and to center those who have been marginalized. When students leave us, they will know they are deeply loved, have a sense of their place in this world, and do their part in creating a more just and inclusive society .
Recognizing students’ unique academic, social and spiritual needs while nurturing them to be creative, self-motivated and Holy Spirit led leaders who courageously impact every area of culture with the Gospel of the Kingdom of God

Rooted in current educational research and brain science, we’re designing a learning environment that is flexible and designed to meet the needs of all learners. This begins with investigating how each child learns best and continues through a learner-centered approach.
Our school is a nature school held at Mission Bay in San Diego. Our beliefs and teaching styles reflect closely to Waldrof and Reggio Emilia. We believe in individualized learning and learning through experiencing the world around us. Our school uses the environment and ecosystem around us to teach students about their impact on the world. Our teachers are dedicated to providing academic support according to each child’s personal needs. We have small ratios (1:5-8) and currently have only two classes (toddler and Pre-K/Kinder). We have the capability to add a third class with older students (1st-2nd grade) or another younger class.
I am an experienced educator who is seeking to form a small group learning pod for the 2021/2022 school year.
This past year I ran a successful pod with PreK students (3-5 year-olds) but I am willing to work with students ages 3 years-old through 8 years-old. I have previously worked as an elementary school teacher (Kindergarten/1st grade) and I also have experience as a private tutor, a nanny and in daycare settings. work as a private teacher for a single family for the 2021/2022 school year.
I would provide lessons that include Literacy (Reading/Writing), Math, Science, Social Science, Art, PE and Music concepts. I also plan to incorporate additional creative activities into the lessons based off of the students’ interests. I am comfortable with developing my own standards-based lessons or alternatively I can follow a curriculum provided by parents.
