Meridian Learning is seeking an innovative, autonomous lead guide for our Cincinnati-based adolescent project, Meridian Micro Farm. The ideal candidate will have:
▪ ability to collaborate with other community organizations, volunteers and subject specialists in lesson planning and evolving curriculum including research and analyzing data
▪ desire to learn about sustainable urban agricultural practices
▪ understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice and/or willing to learn more
▪ experience with adolescents in a long-term project-based capacity
▪ willingness to meet students and families where they are
▪ deep appreciation of plants, animals and the environment
This position is approximately 30-34 hours per week, which includes designated planning time. Our regular school year runs September to May. This project requires year-round responsibility; however, hours in the summer months are flexible and based on project activity, as well as guide availability. We will also consider two guides seeking part time positions. Pay is competitive, focused on growth and commensurate with experience.

About Meridian Micro Farm:
Meridian Micro Farm is a student-run micro farm, learning lab and 21st century Erdkinder in Cincinnati, Ohio. It serves students age 12 and up, including those preparing for and attending dual enrollment College Credit Plus, trade and vocational programs, and online public school. Our curriculum is completely attuned to the needs of adolescence, creating a meaningful community for teens in their passage to full adulthood.
